Every great story starts somewhere.
Ours started with a group of friends, a weekend film contest, and a question we couldn't shake.
It started with a weekend film contest.
In 2025, a group of friends met up for a weekend short film contest, fully expecting chaos. Somehow, they stayed organized and had a blast. They walked away proud of their film. Not because it was a masterpiece, but because of the lessons they learned and the memories they made.
Then they watched the other entries, and something hit them:
Not everyone understands what stories are, or why they matter.
How can culture thrive without redemption, a coherent worldview, or a desire for goodness? The friends wanted to do something about it, starting with telling more stories and recruiting more storytellers. That's how Create With Purpose began.
To commission youth ages 8–18 to pursue artful and virtuous storytelling that, in product and in process, promotes cultural creativity, collaboration, and conviction.
We believe narrative is one of the most influential tools people have, and a gift from God. Stories shape how we understand the world, which gives them the power to transform culture. We want to help the next generation tell stories that are good, true, and beautiful.
Three values. Three C's.
Truth
Stories that are honest about the world and point toward what's real.
Goodness
Stories with redemption at their heart, showing virtue worth pursuing.
Beauty
Stories crafted with care, because how you tell it matters too.
And everything we're building is designed to grow:
Dreaming big. Starting small.
Our first step is SynergyStudio, a student-led storytelling club program we're building for high schoolers and families in the El Paso area. Over time, we hope Create With Purpose grows into a recognized pipeline for storytellers who care about both content and craft.
Our story is still being written.
Create With Purpose is brand new. Here's what's done, what we're working on, and what's coming next.
